A Confirmed Case of Monkeypox Infection Found In King Country Man

A confirmed case of monkeypox infection has been traced in the Seattle area. For the last so many weeks, monkeypox has become a dreaded viral infection after coronavirus. In the meanwhile, experts continue to investigate the cause of such an infection.

It all happened on Friday when state health department of Seattle and King Country confirmed the infection.

According to the officials, they have nailed a case of monkeypox infection in a King country man. They also claim to have found other such cases in the me locality.

In the meanwhile, the infected person is still not been hospitalized and is reported to be recovering at home.

As per the Seattle Times, no other monkeypox cases have been found in King Country. At the same time, health officials continue to monitor other prone areas where the level of infection and the cases are supposed to be found.

This is what a health official named Dr. Umair Shah had to say, “Despite the news of multiple cases nationwide, monkeypox is a very rare disease in the United States and the Washington resident who tested positive does not pose a public health risk,” he stated.

 

 

A Confirmed Case of Monkeypox Infection Found In King Country Man

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), as many as 200 cases of monkeypox infection have been reported so far.

The cases continue to surge and at present have developed in 20 countries. Although, monkeypox happens to be quite an unusual condition, it can be dangerous and prove fatal as well.

The officials have described the current monkeypox outbreak as epidemic but “containable”. Right now, the only remedy is to acquire as many doses of vaccine to be available worldwide.

As per an update from CDC on Thursday, as many as 10 monkeypox cases have so far been identified. But the center has not reported no causalities.

Experts from countries like the US, Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Britain have found that majority of monkeypox infections have been among bisexual and gay men who have sex men.

And due to this, they feel that the disease won’t be affecting people mainly due to their sex orientation. On the other hand researchers have warned that if the virus is not contained or curbed, it s likely to infect people in the future.
