COVID-19 Booster Improves Antibodies by More Than 85%

As per a study conducted, COVID-19 booster can really help increase your antibodies over 85%. Due to the booster dose, high amount of Omicron specific antibodies can be produced. The above finding was published in the journal eBioMedicine.

When a person is vaccinated against a possible viral threat, his body’s immune system produces a chain of neutralizing antibodies that are protective proteins. They can be analyzed to determine the amount of time it takes for the immunity to diminish.

COVID-19 Booster Dose Effectiveness

After COVID-19 booster dose was given to patients, it was revealed that Omicron antibodies reached detectable levels among 85% nursing home residents along with 90% healthcare workers. Such a high neutralization level can be achieved just after two weeks of giving the booster dose.

It was later revealed that healthcare workers who were given the COVID-19 dose managed to achieve a significant elevation in their antibodies levels.

According to CDC, first booster dose should be given to those who have already attained the age of 5 years and have been previously vaccinated with normal doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Similarly, a 2nd booster shot is recommended to those who have attained at least 50 years of age and also to those who are at least 12 and are moderately or severely immunocompromised.
