Monkeypox cases are not only piling up, they are also getting transmitted from humans to their pets. It all happened after the first human to dog monkeypox transmission was spotted. And this has led CDC to change its guidelines.

As per CDC, people who are already infected with the monkeypox virus need to void close contacts with their pets.

The above change in guideline has made effect after the first case of monekypox transmitting from humans to pets was spotted. The above case happened in France as per a news published in The Lancet.

As per the latest Human to Dog Monkeypox Transmission, scientists have warned that it can spread possibly from humans to other animals. The above case was documented by dog owners in France.

Both the owners are said to be male partners who sustain non-monogamous relationship. It all happened when started showing the signs of monkeypox after sleeping with other male partners.

Due to this, their 4 year old Italian greyhound developed lesions and later it developed the infection.

The men further revealed that they slept beside dog even after limiting their contact with the dog.

The above incident which has come out has made researchers to pursue a thorough investigation into humans to animal transmission of monkeypox virus.
