For the last several months, India has been witnessing a steep rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. But for the first time since yesterday, the fresh COVID-19 cases in India has gone below to 11,739.
As per the Health Ministry, India has reported 112,739 COVID cases which is quite a remarkable decline against the 15,940 cases registered on the previous day.
During the same time period, India has reported 25 fatalities which has taken the nation with death toll to 5,24,999.
Another thing to be noted here is that active surge of cases has been surged to 92,576 which is about 0.21% to country’s total number of cases.
In the last 24 hours, the number of recovered patients tally is about 10,917 and the cumulative tally comes out to be 4,27,72,498. Looking at the above data, India’s recovery rate currently stands out at 98.58%.
Fresh COVID Cases In India
India has just now registered a decline in the positivity rate of fresh COVID-19 cases. In terms of numbers, the country has specifically declined 2.59% cases that brings the weekly positivity rate to stand at 3.25%.
During the same time interval, almost 4,53,940 covid tests were conducted across the entire country which increased the overall tally up to 86.07 crore.
As of Sunday (June 26, 2022), the COVID-19 vaccination drive of India exceeded 197.08 crore which was achieved via 2,55,80,569 sessions.
