Nipah Virus in Kerala: As per the Health Minister of the state Veena George, 11 people have shown the symptoms due to Nipah virus of the 38 isolated people found at the Kozhikode Medical College hospital.
Nipah Virus in Kerala: The tally of the number of people infected with the Nipah virus has been on the rise right after the first incident where a 12 year old boy lost his life after getting infected with this virus.
On September 6, Health Minister Veena George stated that their health department has already isolated and identified 251 people who were initially came in contact with the 12 year old boy.
After having an examination to the situation, she stated that 11 out of 38 isolated have found to have symptoms of this virus.
After the scare of the Nipah virus, the state government of Kerala has been on alert in the areas like Kozhikode, Malappuram and Kannur, as per a report published in Times of India.
