US CDC Warns Against Travel to Singapore, Brazil, Mexico Amid COVID-19

In its latest development on covid news, The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued guidelines for citizens not to travel in countries like Paraguay, Philippines, Kosovo, Ecuador, Singapore, Brazil and Mexico amid high COVID-19 cases in these countries.

As per Reuters, the CDC on Monday finally listed as many as 130 countries and territories stating that COVID-19 cases have reached to ‘Level 4: Very High”. It also included some other states like Grenadines, Saint Vincent, Moldova, French Guiana and Anguilla.

The U.S. State Department further raised restrictions for citizens to travel in countries like Mexico. The same travel advisory was alsi issued against many other nations listed by the CDC to “Level 4: Do Not Travel.”

It all started from December 2020 when the US government added more than 60 countries to be avoided for travel amid the rising number of the variant of Omicron coronavirus.

In addition to the above, the CDC also released travel advisory to 11 countries along with some territories to “Level Three: High”. The guidelines have people not to travel to all unvaccinated Americans to simply avoid non-essential travel to “Level Three: High” that urges unvaccinated Americans to avoid non-essential travel: Bhutan, Brunei, Comoros, French Polynesia, the Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Honduras, Liberia, Nepal and Oman. It now lists about 53 countries and territories at High.” It said.

Further to the guidelines issued by the CDC, it has listed as many as 16 countries at “Level 2: Moderate” or “Level 1: Low” along with 40 other travel destinations.
