Man With Skin Rash Kept Under Isolation In Tamil Nadu

A man from Tamil Nadu (India) has been kept under isolation after he developed skin rash which is a known symptom of monkeypox.

It all happened after a man who landed at Tiruchi airport had a skin rash (monkeypox symptom) had to be kept under isolation at Pudukkottai Medical College Hospital in Tamil Nadu.

After initial investigation, he was shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, Tiruchi on Friday.

The latest report says that he has gone missing from the hospital. The authorities have already reported the matter to the police.

When the authorities searched for this person, he was finally traced to his residence Pudukkottai on Saturday and was taken back to the hospital.

The health authorities have also instructed the family members of this person to keep hi under isolation until a complete and thorough diagnosis is done.

As pee the hospital authorities, the man has not displayed any major symptoms of monkeypox in his initial tests and diagnosis. Doctors say that skin rashes found on his skin may be due to some sort of skin allergy.
