As per the latest Covid-19 news, Tamil Nadu (TN) government has now allowed play schools and kindergarten to reopen. The report also says that exhibitions will also be allowed to take place with certain restrictions.
As per a news published in Hindustan Times on Saturday, Tamil Nadu (TN) government on Saturday released new instructions on Covid according to which they extended the present coronavirus related instructions till March 2. The above decision was taken after a review meeting was held by chief minister MK Stalin earlier in the day.
The state government has given some relaxation in Covid norms. According to the instructions, the government will allow kindergarten and play schools to reopen.

At the same time, the government will continue to ban on social, cultural and political gatherings that increase crowd. Now, the maximum attendance in wedding will be not more than 200 people. The limit for funerals will be not more than 100. The new limit has been restricted up to 50%. The government stated in the order that all other restrictions were revoked.
As per an earlier order issued on February 27, the government took decision to reopen schools from class 1-12 and other institutions in the state on February 1.
On the other hand, eateries, restaurants, jewellery, textile shops along with some other commercial establishments like multiplexes, cinemas and theatres have been presently operating at 50% seating capacity.
The state has also revoked 10pm to 5am night curfew along with complete lockdown curfew on every Sunday.
Latest Covid-19 News: Tamil Nadu Allows Primary Classes to Reopen
As per the latest Covid-19 news in Tamil Nadu (TN), as many as 3,086 people were tested positive for Covid-19 in the state along with 25 causalities.
The total number of COVID-19 cases so far in the state include 34,31,154 cases with 37,887 deaths. At the moment, the total number of active cases in the state stand 56,002 (as per an update from health department).
In order to defeat COVID-19 infection, up to 9.6 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered. It includes 5.53 crore first and 4.07 crore second COVID-19 doses.
