It was on Friday when Surgeon General Vivek Murthy declared that he along with his entire family members have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Murthy via his tweet said, “We’ve tried to be safe but it’s tough when your kids are sick. You want to comfort them when they’re unwell. That often requires being close physically.”

He also mentioned that they were already vaccinated and boosted.
Vivek Murthy earlier served as a surgeon general under the administration of President Barack Obama. Most recently, he co chaired President Biden’s coronavirus advisory team.
Ever since the trend of coronavirus emerged, Vivek Murthy has always been an active supporter of social distancing, vaccines and public health guidance on masks.
This is what he tweeted, “Our safety measures reduce risk but they can’t eliminate risk. Nothing can,” he said.
On the other hand, The White House recently stated that no recent contact was there between Murthy and Biden.
